Housekeeper

Salary: £25,000 FTE per annum
Location: Milton Hospice - CB24 6AB

This is a Permanent, Full Time vacancy that will close in {x} days at {xx:xx} BST.

  • Citi 2 bus service
  • Park & Ride (PR5) bus service
  • Pedestrian and cycle access across the A14 via dedicated bridge

Working Pattern: 

  • Full & Part Time applications considered
  • Minimum 2 days (5 days full time) over a 7 day working week
  • Working Flexible hours (7am - 3pm, Monday to Friday with days off in the week to accommodate 2 out of 4 weekend coverage) 

Salary:

  • £25,000 PLUS circa £2,000 per annum in weekend enhancements based on working 2 out or 4 weekends, rates as below:
  • Enhanced Rates - Weekends, Evenings & Bank Holidays:
    • + 30% Saturdays & Evenings
    • + 60% Sundays & Bank Holidays

 

We are seeking a Housekeeper join our small facilities team at our hospice in Milton.

Are you:

  • Happy to work on your own and as part of a team?
  • Flexible to work weekends?
  • Good at adapting to change possibly at short notice?

Do you have:

  • Experience in housekeeping or cleaning?
  • A high standard of cleanliness and attention to detail?

The role:

  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the hospice
  • Support laundry services including washing, drying, and ironing
  • Ensure safe use and storage of cleaning materials in line with C.O.S.H.H. regulations
  • Work collaboratively with the wider care team
  • Support a welcoming environment for families
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities
  • A caring, respectful approach to working in a sensitive environment
  • The ability to meet the physical demands of the role
