Volunteer Maintenance Assistant

Location: Milton Hospice - CB24 6AB

This is a Temporary, Part Time vacancy that will close in {x} days at {xx:xx} BST.

Assist with routine maintenance to help keep the environment safe and functional.

Key activities:

  • Routine equipment checks i.e. hydrotherapy pool, fire alarms
  • Assisting with office and equipment moves
  • Setting up audio visual equipment
  • Checking and cleaning hospice cars
  • Dealing with a variety of minor repair and maintenance jobs as and when they arise
  • Supporting any other general DIY and maintenance tasks

Personal qualities/attributes/knowledge:

  • Ability to work well as part of a team
  • Flexibility
  • Commitment and reliability
  • Previous experience of property maintenance desirable but not essential
  • Clean driving license

Supervision and induction:

  • You will receive an induction and ongoing supervision from the Facilities Coordinator.

Recruitment process:

  • Application form, informal interview, enhanced DBS and two references.
  • Mandatory training is required before starting, with some elements needing annual refreshers (e.g. safeguarding).
